Vietnam Legal Requirements
Is it mandatory in Vietnam? There’s no single law that forces you to buy a “P&I policy,” but international conventions and flag/port rules require proof of financial responsibility (e.g., for pollution, wreck removal, crew repatriation). In practice, vessels carry P&I from an IG Club or equivalent to obtain certificates and trade without interruption.
